California Sushi Roll Extravaganza!
Cooking & Baking
When it comes to actual sushi that is made with sushi grade raw fish such as salmon or tuna wrapped in rice and seaweed, the sushi tolerance spectrum runs from a very strong “YES” or a very strong “NO” with little wiggle room in between. Enter California “sushi” Rolls that overwhelmingly turn the strong “NO’s” into strong yeses! Join Tess as she walks you through how to make a variety of the most marvelous California "sushi" rolls that will make you wonder why you haven’t tried to make your own before. California “sushi” roll combinations are only limited by your imagination! Make them vegetarian, with or without seaweed, spicy or not, it is totally up to you! Learn the skill of creating delicious seasoned sushi rice, spicy mayo, and how to stuff/wrap/shape the rolls, with wonderful filling ingredients. One of these fillings is a “crab” salad that will be created using crab sticks. Make it a date night or family night as you create lasting memories in your kitchen! Have your questions answered by the instructor, interact with other participants as you cook along, and increase your confidence in the kitchen with each skill that is learned, and each little bit of advice and instruction that is shared. While cooking along is loads of fun, and highly recommended, it is optional. Participants will receive a list of ingredients in advance of the class with enough time for shopping and preparation. Calling All Ladies! Owning The Power of Your Natural Female Hormones
Special Interest
Have you ever been called “hormonal” or asked “are you getting your period?” Have you felt dismissed—saying you are a “tired mom with children” or that “birth control is your only answer”? Have you felt “past your prime” or told your menopausal symptoms are “normal?” Hormones are critically important to our health and deserve much respect. Learn how to harness the power of your hormones. This class will be led by two Registered Naturopathic Doctors and is for all ladies ages 16+. We will discuss the major female hormones, their natural fluctuations, the health benefits and roles of these hormones, what symptoms can occur when they are disrupted, and active support that you can do at home in whatever natural female phase you are in to help you work with your hormones so you can thrive and feel your best. Both Dr. Danielle Vogler-Bos and Dr. April Jones are owners of their own private integrative medical practices and are licensed/registered Naturopathic Doctors that specialize in women’s health, focusing attention to menstrual, thyroid, adrenal, and skin conditions, as well as fertility and menopause support. The same instruction will be presented at each session; multiple sessions are offered for participant convenience.

Cell Level Meditation
Special Interest
Cell-level meditation involves recognizing the intricate relationship between cells, thoughts, emotions, and our body. You came into this world a perfect blend of high vibration for healthy cell activity. Every body system and organ functioned with ease and flow. Throughout life challenges, these relationships are hampered, and there can be a breakdown or disconnect. In this meditation series, we nurture a healthy environment for our cells to thrive through practices like meditation, mindfulness, affirmation, and self-awareness. Each student will receive an electronic journal. Students should bring a yoga mat and pillows/cushions.
