Fall Day Trip/Amish Tour
Enjoy the abundance of the fall harvest as we travel by motorcoach bus to the Eau Claire Farmers Market, located along the banks of the Chippewa River. The market has 70 vendors and aspires to offer an increasingly wide variety of high-quality vegetables, fruits, flowers, bread, and much more. Enjoy the area's freshest produce. The group will also travel to Augusta, WI for the Woodshed Amish Tour. This tour through the countryside will take you past Amish farms where families plow and harvest with their two or four horse teams. Along the way, we will likely see black wagons hauling hay, corn, or logs with a back drop of immaculately manicured gardens. The group will have free time for lunch and shopping in Augusta, featuring small town cafes, the Woodshed Amish Furniture Store, Amish Bakery, and Cheese Shop. While still in the area, we will stop at the historic Dells Mill and Museum, a Wisconsin historical landmark and one of the most photographed sites in the state. The Dells Mill was built in 1854 and was the social hub of this small pioneer community. The last stop will be at Weaver's Country Store in Falls Creek, WI who sell a large variety of bulk foods, homemade candy, local cheese, organic butters, nuts, seeds and chocolate-covered everything-you-can-think-of! There is still space and time to sign up for this trip on September 30th!
