Join Carpenter Nature Center to discover the amazing life cycle of the monarch butterfly, including their astounding migration to Mexico. Learn what conservation efforts can be implemented to help protect monarchs both in your backyard and abroad. Finally, we will head out to the prairie to catch, tag, and release as many wild monarchs as we can find! After the program, join us for the FREE annual Carpenter Nature Center Art Festival showcasing local artists and their appreciation for the natural world. Please wear clothing appropriate for walking off-trail through long grass. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Greased-back hair and leather jackets, ponytails and poodle skirts, fast cars and rock’n’roll, Grease is back at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres! Experience the nostalgia of high school in the ‘50s – peer pressure, love, and teenage life set against the campy backdrop of Rydell High! Discover the drama, comedy, and pop-culture satire that has made Grease one of the most popular productions of all time! Don’t forget the music, with songs like “Summer Nights,” “We Go Together,” “Greased Lightnin’,” “Beauty School Dropout” and so many others, including the hits you love from the movie. Have fun as you groove and bop along! Contains mature situations and language similar to that of a PG-13 movie. Take your pickleball skills to the next level. We’ll concentrate on good serving techniques, return of serve, correct dinking, learning the drop shot, forehand and backhand along with winning court strategies. Demo Engage paddles will be available. The last 30 minutes of class will include organized play emphasizing new skills.
