Learn what conservation efforts can be implemented to help protect monarchs both in your backyard and abroad.
Finally, we will head out to the prairie to catch, tag, and release as many wild monarchs as we can find!
After the program, join us for the FREE annual Carpenter Nature Center Art Festival showcasing local artists and their appreciation for the natural world.
Please wear clothing appropriate for walking off-trail through long grass. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Abbey is the Outreach Coordinator and an Animal Care Coordinator at Carpenter Nature Center. She has a Bachelor's of Science in Conservation and Outdoor Education. She is also an experienced Interpretive Naturalist and an avid nature photographer.
