Design your own 3D pocket monster using Tinkercad. This course will give students an introduction to using CAD modeling and design software. Student-designed Pokémon will be printed and mailed home. Home Technical Requirements: Computer: PC (Windows 7 or later) or Mac (OSX) with at least a 2GHz processor and 4GGB of RAM (Chromebooks, Tablets, and phones typically DO NOT work). Internet: Broadband Internet Webcam Microphone and Speakers Zoom Installed on Computer Additional Technical Requirements: TinkerCAD (login information provided during class) PC Needed (Windows or MacBook), will not work on Chromebook, tablets, or phones. Become a Pokémon Master of 3D Design! Design your own unique 3D Pokémon using TinkerCAD. Explore your creativity and experiment with SimLab and create themed video games. Students will work in small teams using the EV3 Mindstorms Robotic Systems and specialized LEGO® Technic™ engineering components to build extreme robots and run programs to experiment with and overcome Olympic-style challenges. Design, develop, and create 3D Virtual Reality environments and characters to make your own 3D games and other virtual reality projects with CoSpaces. CoSpaces is an incredibly fun and stimulating way to learn STEM! VR programs can be viewed on most mobile phones, and VR Systems like oculus or google cardboard. You only need a laptop/computer to get started. Home Technical Requirements: Computer: PC (Windows 7 or later) or Mac (OSX) with at least a 2GHz processor and 4GGB of RAM (Chromebooks, Tablets, and phones typically DO NOT work). Internet: Broadband Internet Webcam Microphone and Speakers Zoom Installed on Computer Additional Technical Requirements: CoSpaces Edu (login information provided during class) PC Needed (Windows or MacBook), will not work on Chromebook, tablets, or phones. In this class, students will create amazing engineering designs using building blocks similar to LEGOs. After students finish building, each creation will move through the use of a battery-powered motor. This is a great class for students interested in engineering or who enjoy playing with LEGOs.
