A Christmas Carol at the Guthrie Theater
Travel/Trips & Tours
A timeless holiday tradition! A miserly and miserable man, Ebenezer Scrooge greets each Christmas with “Bah! Humbug!” until he is visited one Christmas Eve by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Future. In Charles Dickens’ beloved classic, the three spirits show Scrooge happy memories from his past, difficult realities from the present and a grim future should he continue his closed-hearted ways. Throughout his journey, Scrooge is forced to reckon with the man he has become and contemplate the man he could be — but only if his restless night leads to a change of heart by morning. The Guthrie’s cherished tradition returns to delight audiences this holiday season. This production contains strobe lights, haze, fog, loud noises and high-pressure air jets. Recommended for ages 8 and up. Run time: 2 hours, with one intermission. Price includes main floor seating and school bus transportation to and from the theater. Community Education will make every effort to accommodate seating requests; however, there is limited ability to accommodate all seating requests. No refunds will be issued after the ticket purchase deadline of October 2, 2023. Tickets may be transferred to another person if you are unable to attend the performance. Notify Community Education immediately at (715) 377-3722 of any ticket transfers.
