Become a Pokémon Master of 3D Design! Design your own unique 3D Pokémon using TinkerCAD. Explore your creativity and experiment with SimLab and create themed video games. Learn the basics of CAD modeling and design software. One of your creations will be 3D printed. Printing and material fees are included. Design your own 3D pocket monster using Tinkercad. This course will give students an introduction to using CAD modeling and design software. Student-designed Pokémon will be printed and mailed home. Home Technical Requirements: Computer: PC (Windows 7 or later) or Mac (OSX) with at least a 2GHz processor and 4GGB of RAM (Chromebooks, Tablets, and phones typically DO NOT work). Internet: Broadband Internet Webcam Microphone and Speakers Zoom Installed on Computer Additional Technical Requirements: TinkerCAD (login information provided during class) PC Needed (Windows or MacBook), will not work on Chromebook, tablets, or phones. Students will work in small teams using the EV3 Mindstorms Robotic Systems and specialized LEGO® Technic™ engineering components to build extreme robots and run programs to experiment with and overcome Olympic-style challenges.
