3 Chutneys & A Pickle - It's High-Chai Time!Cooking & BakingJoin us as we continue our exploration of Indian cooking. We will discuss and demonstrate these traditional accompaniments: a sweet, a savory, and a spicy chutney. We will then prepare a traditional south Indian spicy hot lemon pickle finishing with the Indian Chai (tea). Afterwards, we will have a sit-down discussion over chai, sampling savory snacks to accompany the accompaniments. WaitlistAdult Pottery - Hand Building & Wheel Instruction with Stoneware ClayArts & EnrichmentIn this three-session class, participants will be introduced to basic techniques of hand building, throwing on a potter’s wheel, and glazing. Using stoneware clay and earth tone glazes, participants will create pieces of art using an electric wheel, slab roller and extruder. The first two sessions are devoted to creating and the last session will focus on glazing. Both new and returning students are welcome. Participants are encouraged to dress in grubby clothes and bring an apron or towel. Class meets at Craig Seath's Studio (1023 7th St, Hudson WI). Please go to the building/studio behind the house. Please bring $35.00 for a material fee/person, which will be collected by the instructor at the beginning of class. PopularParent/Child Pottery Workshop SamplerArts & EnrichmentThis class is for those who love to create things with their hands. During this parent/child pottery workshop sampler, participants will use a slab roller, extruder and an electric pottery wheel. We will make a variety of objects for friends and family members. Participants will also use a variety of colors to glaze their pieces at the end of class. The instructor will add a clear glaze finish and fire the pieces the following week. Adults and children should each register separately for this class. Both new and returning students are welcome. The same instruction will be presented at each session; multiple sessions are offered for participant convenience. Dress in grubby clothes. During this series, you will learn how to combine the 5 Tai Chi Easy™ movements with a Tai Chi style of “Walking.” You will continue with the practice of incorporating the “Four Baskets of Practice” by sharing methods to enhance Body Posture and Movement, Breathwork, Self-Applied Massage, and Meditation. A variety of Qigong gestures will be added to your practice as well.
