9th Annual Daddy Daughter Dance - Saturday, March 29
The 9th Annual “Daddy Daughter Dance” is a fun-filled evening of dancing and activities for young girls and the special adult in their lives. Open to girls ages 3-11 (pre-K through 5th grade). Cost is $30.00 for each parent/child couple plus $5.00 for each additional child. The evening includes live music, dancing, refreshments, a craft station, a keepsake photo and plenty of fun! Non-perishable food donations will be collected at the event for the Hudson Area Backpack Program. Your support is appreciated!
Spring and Summer Tennis is Now Open!
Community Ed offers a variety of youth tennis programs! These programs focus on the fundamentals including footwork, ball control, and racket control. Small drills and mini games are used to practice and reinforce skills.

SUMMER Big Stars Tennis

In the Little Stars/Big Stars tennis program, we highlight the fundamentals of tennis. These fundamentals include footwork, ball control, and racket control. As the class moves along, we move from small drills into mini games to practice these skills. Beginner Big Stars (ages 9-12) This class is designed for kids who are new to tennis or have limited experience. Kids just starting out in tennis will have a blast in this class! Using fast-paced games and drills, your kids will learn basic skills that will allow them to grow in the game. Please bring a Junior-sized racket, can of unopened tennis balls and a water bottle. Advanced Big Stars (ages 9-12) This class is designed for kids who have previously participated in a Big Stars Tennis class or have some experience playing the game. Kids will continue to improve their tennis skills, practice varied drills and focus on keeping a positive mental attitude while playing the game. Using fast-paced games and drills, kids will expand their skills and continue to grow in the game. Please bring a Junior-sized racket, a can of unopened tennis balls and a water bottle. Please select the correct option (Beginner or Advanced) when enrolling your child. (Beginner is denoted with the color green, Advanced is in purple.)

Youth Tennis Camp 2 (ages 9-12)

This is an introductory course for youth ages 9-12. Students must be 9 years old by the first day of class. Students will be introduced to basic tennis strokes and movement. Emphasis will be on movement, games and anticipation. Students should bring one can of tennis balls, a racquet and a water bottle to class.

Some special lightweight rackets are provided, and smaller nets are used. Spring classes are taught inside a gym.

Beginner Tennis Camp (ages 12-17)

This beginner tennis camp is for Middle School and High School students who would be interested in playing High School tennis. Students must be 12 years old by the first class date. This is an introductory course. Course content includes introduction to the game of tennis, basic rules and strategy, proper stroke technique, drills and scoring, singles & doubles play. Students should bring one can of tennis balls, a racquet, and a water bottle to class.

High School Tennis Camp (ages 13-18)

High School Tennis Camp is for students currently playing tennis at High School level or USTA junior level tennis. This is an advanced camp and is intended to develop and improve a student’s skills and strokes. Students must be 13 years old by the first day of class. Camp content includes: advanced drills and strategy, proper stroke techniques including spins, proper footwork and court positioning, shot selection, Singles & Doubles strategy, winning mentally, power vs consistency, focus and concentration, and strength, stretching and fitness. Students should bring one can of tennis balls, a racquet, and a water bottle to class.

Raider Softball Clinic

Join the Hudson High School Softball team at their annual summer softball clinic! The Raider Softball Clinic is intended for youth softball players in grades 6-9 who want to improve their game and learn skills from current high school varsity players and coaches. The clinic also provides participants with an opportunity to learn more about the high school softball program and offers a glimpse into high school athletics. The first 30 people to register by July 14th will receive a free t-shirt! Whether your child is learning the game (first-time players are always welcome!), or looking to improve their skills and bring their game to the next level, this clinic has something for everyone! Participants should bring a bat, glove, helmet, appropriate shoes (i.e., tennis shoes, plastic cleats, turfs), and a snack. NO METAL CLEATS. Participants should bring a water bottle. This clinic is a fundraiser for the HHS Softball team.
