Hudson Community Services: Community Education, School Age Care, Summer Programs

In this course, students will learn the basic essentials of music and the guitar. Topics will range from studying Music Theory to learning Basic Chords and strumming patterns. In the first two classes, students will learn basic picking and strumming techniques and a few basic chords. In the following two classes, students will learn basic music theory. In the final two classes, students will learn how to read basic music notation. Students need to bring their own guitar and an extra set of strings. This course is for students ages 12 and older. The same instruction is presented at each session; multiple sessions are offered for participant convenience.
