  • Adult Pottery - Hand Building & Wheel Instruction with Stoneware Clay

    In this three-session class, participants will be introduced to basic techniques of hand building, throwing on a potter’s wheel, and glazing. Using stoneware clay and earth tone glazes, participants will create pieces of art using an electric wheel, slab roller and extruder. The first two sessions are devoted to creating and the last session will focus on glazing. Both new and returning students are welcome. Participants are encouraged to dress in grubby clothes and bring an apron or towel. Class meets at Craig Seath's Studio (1023 7th St, Hudson WI). Please go to the building/studio behind the house. Please bring $35.00 for a material fee/person, which will be collected by the instructor at the beginning of class. You will be notified when you can pick up your finished pieces at the Community Education office. The same instruction will be presented at each session; multiple sessions are offered for participant convenience.
  • Adult/Child Pottery Workshop Sampler

    This class is for those who love to create things with their hands. During this adult/child pottery workshop sampler, participants will use a slab roller, extruder and an electric pottery wheel. We will make a variety of objects for friends and family members. Participants will also use a variety of colors to glaze their pieces at the end of class. The instructor will add a clear glaze finish and fire the pieces the following week. You will be notified when you can pick up your finished pieces at the Community Education office. Adults and children should each register separately for this class. Both new and returning students are welcome. Dress in grubby clothes. Participants are encouraged to bring an apron or towel.   • Hook Earrings & Jewelry Repair

    Have you ever wanted to make your own earrings, or the ones you have don't match your new outfits anymore? In a few hours YOU could be making your own earrings that will match any new 2025 outfit. Come enjoy and learn how to do it! You’ll also learn how to perform simple jewelry repairs and fix broken jewelry. It's simple and easy! Participants should bring a $15.00 material fee (for tool kit) to be paid directly to the instructor. The instructor will supply all other materials, including beads.
  • The Art of Henna

    Discover this cool art form called Mehndi (henna body art). Learn how the henna paste is made, how to create basic designs, and do some hands-on practice using a henna cone. All participants will receive a henna "tattoo" (lasts approximately 2 weeks) as part of this fun workshop. A fun workshop for mothers and daughters to do together! A material fee of $10.00 (for 2 henna cones) is to be paid directly to the instructor at class.
