Commercials, social media, billboards, packaging . . . these days, the endless nutrition information surrounding us can be overwhelming, confusing and misleading. One day we hear that a particular food is bad for us, the next we’re encouraged to stock our pantries or fridges with it! Despite this reality, healthy eating doesn’t have to be so complicated. Health and wellness professionals agree that eating patterns centered on fresh, whole foods (while minimizing or avoiding processed foods) can greatly benefit your overall health. And what better way to incorporate these kinds of foods than by shopping at our local farmers’ markets this summer?? Sometimes the difficult part is figuring out how to use these foods at home, especially when it comes to cooking on your own in the midst of a full, demanding schedule. Get ready for a fun, educational, and approachable way to learn how to incorporate more nutritious and delicious plant-based foods into your cooking and overall diet when you join a “Cooking with Kiley” session.
