9th Annual Daddy Daughter Dance - Saturday, March 29
The 9th Annual “Daddy Daughter Dance” is a fun-filled evening of dancing and activities for young girls and the special adult in their lives. Open to girls ages 3-11 (pre-K through 5th grade). Cost is $30.00 for each parent/child couple plus $5.00 for each additional child. The evening includes live music, dancing, refreshments, a craft station, a keepsake photo and plenty of fun! Non-perishable food donations will be collected at the event for the Hudson Area Backpack Program. Your support is appreciated!
Spring and Summer Tennis is Now Open!
Community Ed offers a variety of youth tennis programs! These programs focus on the fundamentals including footwork, ball control, and racket control. Small drills and mini games are used to practice and reinforce skills.

3D Printing: Pokemon

Design your own 3D pocket monster using Tinkercad. This course will give students an introduction to using CAD modeling and design software. Student-designed Pokémon will be printed and mailed home. Home Technical Requirements: Computer: PC (Windows 7 or later) or Mac (OSX) with at least a 2GHz processor and 4GGB of RAM (Chromebooks, Tablets, and phones typically DO NOT work). Become a Pokémon Master of 3D Design! Design your own unique 3D Pokémon using TinkerCAD. Explore your creativity and experiment with SimLab and create themed video games. This course is a step-by-step instructional painting class using acrylic paints. Your child will learn how to mix color, learn brushstroke techniques and paint using a palette knife. This course of paintings will include daisies, a hedgehog, and a cherry blossom tree.

Beginner Tennis Camp (ages 12-17)

This beginner tennis camp is for Middle School and High School students who would be interested in playing High School tennis. Students must be 12 years old by the first class date. This is an introductory course. Course content includes introduction to the game of tennis, basic rules and strategy, proper stroke technique, drills and scoring, singles & doubles play. Students should bring one can of tennis balls, a racquet, and a water bottle to class.

Creating with Clay Summer Camp
Art & Enrichment
This class is for those who love to create things with their hands. Students will learn how to create a variety of decorative objects out of clay (bowls, cylinders, picture frame, etc) using a pottery wheel, slab roller, and extruder. We’ll also experiment with different colored glazes. Please dress in “grubby” clothes. Participants are encouraged to bring an apron or towel. You are welcome to bring a water bottle and snacks. Class meets at Craig Seath's Studio (1023 7th St, Hudson, WI). Please go to the building/studio behind the house. An additional $35 clay and glaze fee is due to the instructor on the first day of class. Students may choose from either a morning or afternoon session.

Extreme Robo-Games: Battlebot Olympics

NOTE: An incorrect class date is listed in the Community Ed catalog. The correct date for this class is Friday, June 27th. Students will work in small teams using the EV3 Mindstorms Robotic Systems and specialized LEGO® Technic™ engineering components to build extreme robots and run programs to experiment with and overcome Olympic-style challenges. Student teams will then be challenged to morph their projects into better, stronger, or faster robots. Please bring lunch and a drink. Registration Deadline: Wednesday, June 18, 2024

A guided one-on-one art session. Experiencing for the first time how to hold, use, wash and repeat. Children explore their environment, discover their independence, nature and develop emotional regulation. Create with your little one for the first time! Girls Introduction to Mountain Biking

Curious about riding that bike of yours off road? Mountain biking is a fast-growing activity surrounded by an extremely positive and supportive community that is excited to share it with others! Come join the St. Croix Valley Mountain Bike Girls Team coaches to learn some of the skills it takes to safely ride the trails and have a blast! Any bike in good mechanical condition with off-road tires will work. Helmets required. Some loaner bikes are available. Arrive 15 minutes early for a bike check and to sign waivers. Rain date is Sunday, May 18, same times.

Handbuilding Pottery Workshop
After School Enrichment
This two-session after-school class is for those who love to create things with their hands. During the one-hour workshops, participants will use hand-building techniques to make a variety of decorative objects (vase, bowl, animal creatures, etc.). We will create and glaze during both sessions. The instructor will add a clear glaze and fire the pieces the following week. Finished pieces will be dropped off at the elementary school. The instructor will supply aprons for all participants. Please bring a $15.00 supply fee, which will be collected by the instructor at the beginning of the first class.

High School Tennis Camp (ages 13-18)

High School Tennis Camp is for students currently playing tennis at High School level or USTA junior level tennis. This is an advanced camp and is intended to develop and improve a student’s skills and strokes. Students must be 13 years old by the first day of class. Camp content includes: advanced drills and strategy, proper stroke techniques including spins, proper footwork and court positioning, shot selection, Singles & Doubles strategy, winning mentally, power vs consistency, focus and concentration, and strength, stretching and fitness. Students should bring one can of tennis balls, a racquet, and a water bottle to class.

Raider Softball Clinic

Join the Hudson High School Softball team at their annual summer softball clinic! The Raider Softball Clinic is intended for youth softball players in grades 6-9 who want to improve their game and learn skills from current high school varsity players and coaches. The clinic also provides participants with an opportunity to learn more about the high school softball program and offers a glimpse into high school athletics. The first 30 people to register by July 14th will receive a free t-shirt! Whether your child is learning the game (first-time players are always welcome!), or looking to improve their skills and bring their game to the next level, this clinic has something for everyone! Participants should bring a bat, glove, helmet, appropriate shoes (i.e., tennis shoes, plastic cleats, turfs), and a snack. NO METAL CLEATS. Participants should bring a water bottle. This clinic is a fundraiser for the HHS Softball team.

Spring Garden and Nature Crafts for Kids

Have fun learning about gardening and nature while creating fun craft projects. Planned projects include Vegetable Stamp Painting on Garden Aprons, Fairy Garden Stakes, Bird Seed Wreaths, Wooly Worms (craft) / Ants on a Log (snack). Participants should bring or wear an old shirt/clothes that can get dirty or possibly paint splattered. This class is for children and their parents, grandparents, or guardians. Class is open to youth ages 5-12 AND an accompanying adult. Crafts require assistance from an adult. At least one adult is required to attend with a child. It is recommended that at least one adult accompany every 2-3 children attending.

Squishy Squishmallows with Kidcreate Studio

Bunnycorn, Prince the Pug, Mauve the Alpaca and more - the hardest thing about those squishy Squishmallows is deciding which one you love the most! In this workshop, artists will create a clay version of their favorite Squishmallow using air-dry clay, paint, and so much more. What could be more fun? Bring your Squishmallow to class so they can join in the fun! Please pack a nut free snack and drink for your child.
