Creating with Clay Summer CampArt & EnrichmentThis class is for those who love to create things with their hands. Students will learn how to create a variety of decorative objects out of clay (bowls, cylinders, picture frame, etc) using a pottery wheel, slab roller, and extruder. We’ll also experiment with different colored glazes. Please dress in “grubby” clothes. Participants are encouraged to bring an apron or towel. You are welcome to bring a water bottle and snacks. Class meets at Craig Seath's Studio (1023 7th St, Hudson, WI). Please go to the building/studio behind the house. An additional $35 clay and glaze fee is due to the instructor on the first day of class. Students may choose from either a morning or afternoon session.Community Education - Spring Summer 2025

Adult Pottery - Hand Building & Wheel Instruction with Stoneware ClayArts & EnrichmentIn this three-session class, participants will be introduced to basic techniques of hand building, throwing on a potter’s wheel, and glazing. Using stoneware clay and earth tone glazes, participants will create pieces of art using an electric wheel, slab roller and extruder. The first two sessions are devoted to creating and the last session will focus on glazing. Both new and returning students are welcome. Participants are encouraged to dress in grubby clothes and bring an apron or towel. Class meets at Craig Seath's Studio (1023 7th St, Hudson WI). Please go to the building/studio behind the house. Please bring $35.00 for a material fee/person, which will be collected by the instructor at the beginning of class. You will be notified when you can pick up your finished pieces at the Community Education office. Adult/Child Pottery Workshop SamplerArts & EnrichmentThis class is for those who love to create things with their hands. During this adult/child pottery workshop sampler, participants will use a slab roller, extruder and an electric pottery wheel. We will make a variety of objects for friends and family members. Participants will also use a variety of colors to glaze their pieces at the end of class. The instructor will add a clear glaze finish and fire the pieces the following week. You will be notified when you can pick up your finished pieces at the Community Education office. Adults and children should each register separately for this class. PopularHandbuilding Pottery WorkshopAfter School EnrichmentThis two-session after-school class is for those who love to create things with their hands. During the one-hour workshops, participants will use hand-building techniques to make a variety of decorative objects (vase, bowl, animal creatures, etc.). We will create and glaze during both sessions. The instructor will add a clear glaze and fire the pieces the following week. Finished pieces will be dropped off at the elementary school. The instructor will supply aprons for all participants. Please bring a $15.00 supply fee, which will be collected by the instructor at the beginning of the first class.Community Education - Spring Summer 2025
