Custom Glass Mosaic Table or Sign
Glass mosaic sounds like a fancy, difficult art form; however, in this class, you will learn how it can be fun, and easy while creating a table top or sign! Look through the idea book, browse the patterns and stencils, and choose from dozens of colors of precut glass. The first evening will involve homework and the second evening will be grouting. Sign ideas include Welcome, house number, last name, state of WI/MN. Tables are 16”x16” and 16” tall and are $75 each. Signs vary in size and are $16-40 each. Table/sign fees are to be paid directly to the instructor on the first night of class.

Animal Adaptations and Guided Snowshoe Hike
Special Interest
Join the Environmental Educators at Carpenter Nature Center (CNC)! Learn about native wildlife in Wisconsin and meet the CNC Animal Ambassadors. In Session 1, participants will learn about the different adaptations animals have that help them survive in the wild. This session will be held indoors and outdoors (see detailed description below.) In Session 2, participants will go for a hike and have an opportunity to try snowshoeing (see detailed description below). Participants may register for one or both sessions and spend the day at CNC. There is one hour between sessions. Participants may bring a bagged lunch to enjoy in the Visitor Center. Animal Adaptations: Learn about animal superpowers! Animals have physical and behavioral adaptations that make it easier for them to survive in the wild. Put your eyesight to the test with a guided hike through a camouflage trail. After the hike, we will come inside and meet some of CNC’s Animal Ambassadors to find out what adaptation superpowers they have. Please dress for the weather as part of the program will take place outside. Guided Snowshoe Hike: After a snowshoe demonstration, we will go on a guided hike with time to freely explore at the end. Children must wear snow boots. 6+ inches of snow cover is required for snowshoe use. Programming will be held regardless of snow conditions and will be modified based on the weather. Snowshoes are provided, or bring your own. For children in grades Kindergarten through 4th grade. All children must be accompanied by an adult. No fee for the accompanying adult.

Calling All Ladies! Owning The Power of Your Natural Female Hormones
Special Interest
Have you ever been called “hormonal” or asked “are you getting your period?” Have you felt dismissed—saying you are a “tired mom with children” or that “birth control is your only answer”? Have you felt “past your prime” or told your menopausal symptoms are “normal?” This class will be led by two Licensed Naturopathic Doctors and is for all females ages 16+. Hormones are critically important to our health and deserve much respect. Learn how to harness the power of your hormones. We will discuss the major female hormones, their natural fluctuations, the health benefits and roles of these hormones, what symptoms can occur when they are disrupted, and active support that you can do at home in whatever natural female phase you are in to help you work with your hormones so you can thrive and feel your best. Both Dr. Danielle Vogler-Bos and Dr. April Jones are owners of their own private integrative medical practices and are licensed Naturopathic Doctors that specialize in women’s health, focusing attention to menstrual, thyroid, adrenal, and skin conditions, as well as fertility and menopause support.
