Spark & Solder: Copper Foil Stained Glass

Comm Ed / Arts & Crafts -
Community Education - F/W 26-27

Discover the beauty and craftsmanship behind stained glass in this hands-on workshop with John Hanson, a stained glass artist with over 25 years of experience in design, creation, and restoration. In this class, you’ll learn the essential techniques of the copper foil method—from cutting and grinding to foiling and soldering—and create your own small stained glass panel to take home. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to build on your skills, John’s expert guidance and step-by-step instruction will help you bring your design to life.

All tools and materials are provided. Please bring safety glasses for cutting, grinding, and working with zinc framing. Please also pack food and a beverage for your 30 minute lunch. Content is the same in each session.

A $40/student materials fee due at class; Instructor accepts cash or check.
