Ready to take your gymnastics skills to the next level? This Advance Beginner class is designed for gymnasts ages 8–11 who already have a basic understanding of gymnastics fundamentals and are ready to build stronger technique, confidence, and event-specific skills. Gymnasts will continue developing abilities on vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise through drills, conditioning, flexibility work, and progressive skill training. Gymnasts will work on refining skills, connecting movements, and preparing for more advanced progressions across all events.
Gymnasts should already have a basic understanding of beginner gymnastics skills, including: cartwheel, round-off, handstand with control, bridge and kick-over attempts, basic understanding of back walkover and front walkover progressions, the ability to follow directions independently and safely in a group setting, and confidence participating in physical activity for a full class period.
Participants should come prepared with a water bottle, properly fitted leotard or athletic clothing, hair tied back securely with a hair binder/elastic, bare feet (gymnastics shoes are optional if approved and a positive attitude and readiness to learn! *Gymnastics basics & experience strongly recommended
