Whether you're a seasoned athlete looking to try something new or have never touched a rugby ball, this introduction is for you! Rugby is an inclusive sport that welcomes all body types, skill levels, and athletic backgrounds. Designed for boys and girls in grades 6–12, this introductory session focuses on fun, fitness, and the fundamentals of rugby. Participants will learn basic skills such as passing, catching, running lines, and game strategy through engaging drills and modified games in a supportive environment. Students will be grouped by age and grade level whenever possible to ensure activities are developmentally appropriate and enjoyable for everyone. No prior rugby experience is necessary.

Please wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows for plenty of movement. Plastic-molded cleats (soccer, football, or lacrosse cleats work great) are encouraged for better traction on the turf, but athletic shoes are also acceptable. If you already own a mouthguard, please bring it. While this is a low-contact introductory session, wearing a mouthguard is a good habit for rugby players to develop. Be sure to bring a water bottle.
