8th Annual Daddy Daughter Dance - April 27th
The 8th Annual “Daddy Daughter Dance” will be a fun-filled evening of dancing and activities for young girls and the special men in their lives. Open to girls ages 3-11 (pre-K through 5th grade). Cost is $30.00 for each parent/child couple plus $5.00 for each additional child. The evening includes live music, dancing, refreshments, a craft station, a keepsake photo and plenty of fun! Non-perishable food donations will be collected at the event for the Hudson Area Backpack Program.

Adult Pottery - Hand Building & Wheel Instruction with Stoneware Clay
Arts & Enrichment
In this three-session class, participants will be introduced to basic techniques of hand building, throwing on a potter’s wheel, and glazing. Using stoneware clay and earth tone glazes, participants will create pieces of art using an electric wheel, slab roller and extruder. The first two sessions are devoted to creating and the last session will focus on glazing. Both new and returning students are welcome. Participants are encouraged to dress in grubby clothes and bring an apron or towel. Class meets at Craig Seath's Studio (1023 7th St, Hudson WI). Please go to the building/studio behind the house. Please bring $35.00 for a material fee/person, which will be collected by the instructor at the beginning of class. The same instruction will be presented at each session; multiple sessions are offered for participant convenience.

Colorful Glass Mosaic Suncatcher or Table Lamp
Arts & Enrichment
Glass mosaic sounds like a fancy, difficult art form; however, in this class, you will learn how it can be fun and easy while creating a table lamp or suncatcher! Look through the idea book, browse the patterns and stencils, and choose from dozens of colors of precut glass. The first evening will involve homework and the second evening will be grouting. There will be time to make multiple suncatchers too! The 8”x8”x3” square lamp is $30, the 4”x9” rectangle lamp is $45. The 10” diameter suncatcher is $25, 8” is $23, and 6” is $18. Lamp/suncatcher fees are to be paid directly to the instructor on the first night of class. When registering, please indicate/select the project you’ll be making (8x8 lamp, 4x9 lamp, or suncatcher).

Go Wild! Colorful Beginner Mosaics - Animal/Pet Portrait
Arts & Enrichment
Celebrate your pet or favorite animal in this mosaic workshop! Choose from vibrant colors and textures to make your piece stand out. A little mosaic experience is helpful, but not required. You will email a photo of the animal you would like to create two weeks prior to the class start date. If you do not want to create a pet design, the instructor will have simple shapes for you to choose from. Hudson Community Education will contact you approximately 2 weeks prior to the class start date to obtain a photo of the animal you would like to create. Please ensure that your email address is up to date. If you do not want to create an animal mosaic, no problem! The instructor will have other designs and simple shapes for you to choose from.

Hook Earrings & Jewelry Repair

Have you ever wanted to make your own earrings, or the ones you have don't match your new outfits anymore? In a few hours YOU could be making your own earrings that will match any new 2024 outfit. Come enjoy and learn how to do it! You’ll also learn how to perform simple jewelry repairs and fix broken jewelry. It's simple and easy! Participants should bring a $15.00 material fee (for tool kit) to be paid directly to the instructor. The instructor will supply all other materials, including beads.

Parent/Child Pottery Workshop Sampler

This class is for those who love to create things with their hands. During this parent/child pottery workshop sampler, participants will use a slab roller, extruder and an electric pottery wheel. We will make a variety of objects for friends and family members. Participants will also use a variety of colors to glaze their pieces at the end of class. The instructor will add a clear glaze finish and fire the pieces the following week. Adults and children should each register separately for this class. Both new and returning students are welcome. Dress in grubby clothes. Participants are encouraged to bring an apron or towel. Class meets at Craig Seath's Studio (1023 7th St, Hudson, WI). Please go to the building/studio behind the house.
