  • Adult Pottery - Hand Building & Wheel Instruction with Stoneware Clay

    In this three-session class, participants will be introduced to basic techniques of hand building, throwing on a potter’s wheel, and glazing. Using stoneware clay and earth tone glazes, participants will create pieces of art using an electric wheel, slab roller and extruder. The first two sessions are devoted to creating and the last session will focus on glazing. Both new and returning students are welcome. Participants are encouraged to dress in grubby clothes and bring an apron or towel. Class meets at Craig Seath's Studio (1023 7th St, Hudson WI). Please go to the building/studio behind the house. Please bring $35.00 for a material fee/person, which will be collected by the instructor at the beginning of class. The same instruction will be presented at each session; multiple sessions are offered for participant convenience.
  • Adult/Child Holiday Pottery Workshop

    This class is for those who love to create things with their hands. During this family holiday pottery workshop, participants will use a slab roller, extruder or electric pottery wheel to create holiday pottery gifts. Participants will use a variety of colors to glaze their pieces at the end of class. The instructor will add a clear glaze finish and fire the pieces the following week. You will be notified when you can pick up your finished pieces at the Community Education office. Adults and children should each register separately for this class. Children must be at least 8 years old. Dress in grubby clothes. Participants are encouraged to bring an apron or towel. Class meets at Craig Seath's Studio (1023 7th St, Hudson, WI). Please go to the building/studio behind the house. Please bring $15.00 for a material fee/person, which will be collected by the instructor at the beginning of class.
  • Adult/Child Pottery Workshop Sampler

    This class is for those who love to create things with their hands. During this adult/child pottery workshop sampler, participants will use a slab roller, extruder and an electric pottery wheel. We will make a variety of objects for friends and family members. Participants will also use a variety of colors to glaze their pieces at the end of class. The instructor will add a clear glaze finish and fire the pieces the following week. You will be notified when you can pick up your finished pieces at the Community Education office. Adults and children should each register separately for this class. Both new and returning students are welcome. Children must be at least 8 years old. Dress in grubby clothes.   • Custom Glass Mosaic Table or Sign

    Glass mosaic sounds like a fancy, difficult art form; however, in this class, you will learn how it can be fun and easy while creating a table top or sign! Look through the idea book, browse the patterns and stencils, and choose from dozens of colors of precut glass. The first evening will involve homework and the second evening will be grouting. Sign ideas include Welcome, house number, last name, state of WI/MN. Signs vary in size and are $16-40 each. Tables are an exterior grade plywood with indoor/outdoor legs and measure 16”x16” and 16” tall and are $75 each. Table/sign fees are to be paid directly to the instructor on the first night of class. When registering, please indicate the project you’ll be making (table or sign).
