Destination St Paul! Day Bus Trip
Spend the day enjoying St Paul, MN, as we travel to many historical and favorite sites the city has to offer. Visit the Minnesota State Capitol, after the extensive restoration project that returned this 1905 masterpiece to its original grandeur! Learn about its incredible architecture, art and history. If weather permits, we may be able to tour the roof for an up close look at the gleaming gold sculpture, the Quadriga, the Latin word for a four-horse chariot. We will travel to the Alexander Ramsey House, one of the nation’s best preserved Victorian-era houses, which offers a glimpse into the 1870’s and the life of Minnesota’s first territorial governor. Lunch will be included at the Bonfire Wood Fire Cooking restaurant on Grand Ave. The afternoon will be spent enjoying the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory, and the Ordway Japanese Gardens at the Como Park Zoo. See the nationally-acclaimed Bonsai collection and the new Japanese plant and garden pavilion, the Meditative Garden and more. There may be time to even visit some animal exhibits too!
