St Paul Tours: Ghosts & Graves/James J Hill House
October is the best time to hear about St. Paul's spooks and spirits. Join our Ghosts & Graves Tour for fascinating tales of ghosts, hauntings, and crime. We will explore the actual history and legends behind the mysteries which shroud Twin Cities landmarks and private homes. Learn the stories behind some of the most notoriously haunted or spirit filled sites in the area, such as the Wabasha Street Caves, St Paul's City Hall, and the homes of famous spirits along Summit Avenue (also known as “ghost alley”). Whether a believer or a skeptic, this tour will challenge your imagination! Once we have our fill of ghosts, you will have free time for lunch at Cossetta’s Eatery on 7th Street, or you may choose another restaurant nearby. After lunch, we will visit the home of railroad magnate, James J Hill. This 44,552 square foot mansion, was considered the "showcase of St. Paul" until James J. Hill's death in 1916. The mansion is part of St. Paul’s Historic Hill District and is listed as a U.S. National Historic Landmark operated by the Minnesota Historical Society. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday, October 13th. Register early!
We will continue to take registrations after October 13th. Please call the Community Education Office 715-377-3722 or register online.
