In this six-week course, you will learn about the different types of carving woods, styles of wood sculpture and basic techniques. Participants will create a natural bird sculpture (nuthatch) and learn shaping, detailing, finishing, painting with acrylics and mounting the finished sculpture.
A material fee of $20.00 will be paid to the instructor on the first night of class.
Mike has 40 years of hobby and professional wood carving experience. His natural bird sculptures are in collections in five countries and seventeen states.
