Community Education - Fall Winter 2023-2024

Learn how to produce a YouTube - Learn the ins and outs of producing your own podcast. Explore ideas, make a script map, and more. We will also go over refining your audio using Audacity. Edit your video, add transitions, insert a soundtrack. Then share your finished video with the world.

Additional Technical Requirement: Cell Phone video camera or external webcam, iMovie (Mac) or Filmora (Windows trial version) software, Audacity free software download.   

 Home technical requirements for this class include:

  • Computer: PC (Windows XP or later) or Mac (OSX) with at least a 2GHz processor and 4GB of RAM. Chromebooks and Tablets typically DO NOT work.
  • Internet: Broadband Internet
  • Webcam
  • Microphone and Speakers
  • Zoom installed on computer

Tech Academy (formerly Computer Explorers) of Minnesota is a locally-owned Twin Cities-based technology education company. Our company has a 20-year history of providing Project-Based Technology Education and Science classes, where students work together in small groups to reinforce core academic skills while learning invaluable 21st century competencies. 

Tech Academy also provides research-proven technology camps for kids and teens ages 4-15. We believe learning should be fun, innovative, challenging, and hands-on. We host more than 300 camps annually throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin, and we offer 30 different classes/camps in Minecraft, Video Game Design, Programming, Engineering, Robotics, Computers and Film Making.
